To obtain command of a sailing vessel of 30 meters, or greater, on which I can continue my career as a professional, motivated yacht captain.

Profile
I am a pro-active, conscientious and committed yacht captain with excellent communication skills. I have been employed in the yachting industry for twenty-two years and have over 120,000 nautical miles of professional sailing experience, including a circumnavigation.

I have a wide range of skills, knowledge and strengths with which to draw on while delivering a high standard of service required by owners and guests. I have managed the preparation of high performance yachts for regattas, coastal and offshore cruising. I am very experienced in the safe running of a professional crew and the management of private and corporate programs. My work ethic exudes enthusiasm and positivity and I am dedicated to bringing these strengths and attributes to my next command.

I have managed and implemented both new builds and refit work on many vessels under my command, from commissioning captain of a modern classic to managing a life-cycle refit of a 46mt Baltic Yacht.

I am committed to continuing my professional development and further qualifications in order to meet the requirements of a particular owner or yacht.

Captain – S/Y Ganesha I, 39 meter Dubois.
Running of a busy commercial charter yacht including the updating to be MLC compliant. Selected and trained new crew for the charter season. Completed the annual Lloyds survey and presented the boat for sale at the Palma Yacht Show.

Nov 2012 – Feb 2014

Captain – S/Y Pink Gin, 46 meter Baltic Yacht.
Extensive cruising with owner and VIP guests in the Mediterranean, South America, Caribbean and South Africa. Management of a fleet of 8 boats including refits, world wide shipping and new builds.

Oct 2010 – Oct 2012

Captain – S/Y Liara, 32mt performance cruising yacht 8,500nm

Owner cruising, with family & friends, regattas and charters in the South of France, Croatia & the UK.

Coding the vessel to RINA and IOM state requirements.

Project management of S/Y Gaia 100ft Spirit Yacht Delivery watch captain S/Y Ranger (46mt Class) 4,100nm. Continuing courses towards Chief mate (Master 500) Delivery Officer S/Y Pink Gin (46mt Baltic) 6,100nm.
